Reviews for "Army of War"

I've played plenty of games like this earlier, but this one was a bit more elaborate than most, the way you both train upgrade and build to conquer bases instead of just dragging and dropping your soldiers. It was fun, but at the same time it feels progress is slow. You don't get a high count of soldiers very fast, and when you train/Upgrade there's really no feedback that you've improved, everything looks the same. Gameplay is good though, keep it going!

its OK nothing too much. sometimes boring but its OK
3/5 for you.

I like the idea, and I wanted to like this game, but it's just so frustrating. For all the reasons that people have stated below, my troops were too good. So, when my miners started inexplicably attacking every single soldier I put out, I ended having to wait until every single mining mission was done before I could send out anyone new. They'd just die steps from the base. Ergh

My soldiers are so disloyal!

This game is fun, but ridiculously easy due to my bases being able to rapidly outproduce even two computer players. Resources were easy to get, and because the computer was not very quick on its feet, it was also easy to steal all the gold on the map in the first few seconds. The bomb powers are too powerful, any level where the computer factions started with less than four bases was won instantly. Honestly, my own troops destroyed more of my bases throughout the games than the enemy factions.

Pressing "Continue" on a finished game takes you to an upgrade screen, and then pressing "Play"after that makes you automatically get a 'lose' screen. There should be a fix for won games there.

I give 3 for "effort." I don't men to be so harsh, as this is a good idea, if maybe not very polished. I have several complaints about my game play experience...

1. My soldiers, on return trips, will sometimes suddenly attack their own if I send them at that time. This doesn't always happen, but in the instance of the level where it is the first time facing two enemies, I had seven troops after they had none. I had three by the time I had taken out their many bases.

2. There is no directions on how to do so, but I can't seem to get anything better then the basic rifle. I have upgraded my bases to no avail. It changes nothing.

3. The enemy should get their own versions of these "upgrades" as you play along. I went with range, mining, and damage upgrades. The only time a troop died was when his comrades shot him (see above).

4. The upgrades seem to go too fast. While I realize they aren't big upgrades incrementally (for instance, the range only helps a few centimeters on the screen, but the map just isn't that large after the third upgrade) they just are too powerful.

Don't get too upset, as I think that you have a good thing going here, but I would have liked some "terrain" features, as well as a larger map. For a simple, yet intriguing game, you did okay. I would love to see you continue your work, as I think you have a good creative mind.
