Let me just get this out of the way right now - I like viral videos, but I absolutely HATED "The Fox". It reeked of hipster pretension, and trying too hard to be clever. We KNOW what noise foxes make - it's like a yelping bark. Making a whole song about how every person is confused about what noise a whole species of animal actual makes is ridiculous!
That is why I adore this video - It keeps the catchy rhythm but makes it centred around a specific fox, not foxes in general - making the concept less laughable. The art style is very reminiscent of Adventure Time, bringing with it a higher sense of relatability and colour. The dialogue and voice acting is perfect, delivering the characters' archetypes with great gusto. (The cat... I can't even... :3) Finally, this is one of the few cases where I enjoy the remix more than the original song - The synthesizer oddly feels less out of place and more beautiful. The whole story was perfect, one of the most complete minute-long stories I've ever watched, making me sad, hopeful, and laugh all in sequence.
I haven't watched any of your other works, but now I'm tempted to - If you could make an annoying europop video into a touching character story, maybe you two are more special than I thought!
