Reviews for "Socrates Jones: Pro Philo"

The first time I started to play this awhile back, I didn't give it enough of a chance, as it just seemed too wordy and silly. But after reading the reviews from others, I decided to go back and give it a longer chance, and I'm glad I did. This turned out to be a very, very, very enjoyable game, and I can't imagine how much education, forethought, and planning it took to bring it to life. I honestly think it would make a great little feature film of some kind, on par with Fritjof Capra's "Mindwalk".

Just one word - wow. I am big fan of games and the philosophy, so this game was amazing experience: dialogues with the greatest thinkers accompanied by beautiful art, catchy and not annoying soundtrack and unexpected action twists. Well, I am only missing Nietzsche - his views on morality was truly original. Waiting for more.

I love this game ! It goes very in depth of philosophical stuff, life, happiness and society.I just hope there will be a sequel to this.

Absolutely spectacular! Usually I find largely text-based games lacking, but this one has everything necessary. In fact, it was so great, I played it all the way through, even though my brain really was killing me.

Some superb aspects:
-Humor, the philosophers were spot on, I just loved it
-NONSENSE! (I don't know, that was just gratifying for me.)
-Ability to question, even when I was stuck because my ideas weren't directly conveyed by the options available, I could probe enough to get at the point I was searching for
-Length, though it may seem a bit long, each person added a new challenge, I especially love the questioning of your own conclusions bit as I had been doing that all along
-Shock value, no explanation needed

I really can't find any negatives, unless philosophy isn't your thing, in which case you would hate the game. But if that were the case, you would have quit with the salesman.

This game pushed me to the right direction when I was younger. I strayed, but I'll keep this close to me.
