damn your eyes.
I just spent a week trying to defeat the boss. A week. It took me a few days to get through levels 1-49 and they were a very steep challenge indeed. The game is beautiful. The sounds are excellent but I am always grateful for a mute button so that I can listen to the radio while I play. I loved the smooth quick action in the puzzles and your level design is magnificent. Really efficient and entirely satisfying game.
But listen. This mother was hard. Really really hard. Sometimes it was so quick that I had to let the thing die 20 or thirty times before I had a clue what to do. I couldn't think that fast, let alone react that quick. I had to run netflix in a nearby window just to try and lag this game up enough to make the levels beatable. Just to get a little reaction time.
Then the boss- man that was really tricky. I honestly couldn't believe it when i beat it just now and I don't know if I have the stomach to go back and get the final stars. I passed every other level with three stars but this? It could mean another seven days. And, hey, I thought you said at the start that I could go to the neon city when I had passed all of the levels, BUT THEN after i'd finally BEATEN THE BOSS you're like, "yeah, now go back and do all the time trials if you want to get to the neon city." I mean, what in the actual fuck? That's not cool. And the time trials? well there's no way I'll ever achieve it.
So,
Anyway. I can only thank you for your hard work on this game. It shows and it's a really polished game. I don't think I would enjoy it on a tablet or phone, frankly. I'd need the certainty of buttons to press or i'd have given up around level ten. I suppose I'll have to wait for someone to do a walkthrough on youtube to see the frickin fracken neon city. pffff. disappointing. five stars.
