Holy shit I looked at the clock and I've been playing this for HOW LONG?
First and foremost, voice acting is top-notch. Beckie/bexxie is supercute! :3
My ONLY complaint is that after playing the game for oh so many hours makes the cut-scenes extremely choppy to the point of a slideshow. 8 gigs of ram with a low-grade video card can do that, but it just seems that I have to F5 the whole Newgrounds page to get back that crisp zombie-killing flow. Other than that, DAMN what a good game. Where's the goddamned DONATE button?! Kickstart this and franchise this shit immediately! Combine all your games into a storyline and sell it as an app (which I don't care to own/have to play apps). You certainly deserve some monetary praise, not just comments.
At first the game was really slow, as in progress. It was too easy to blow up, die, etc. and all the weapons were disappointing. I just stuck with the pistol as RP gain was slow-going, too. Eventually I maxed it out and now the pistol is what I use to clean-sweep the hood of any clingers. I use the chick to drive and she's STILL not maxed in toughness, but maxed driving and almost there. The guy's weaponry is good, but as I suspected the shotgun is too slow and weak and inaccurate to hold off anything. The SMG is perfect in 2-3 round bursts, I love it. The UMG I can't help but sit there and run-and-gun mutant zombies as they run alongside my Humvee. I haven't even begun the switch of driver/gunner yet or her arsenal upgrades to compare weaponry.
Skill upgrades were slow to come, but once I saw the reduce skill price one I struggled to max that first, and it made everything much more feasible. However, once that happens, I find myself trying to upgrade while swarms are overwhelming (meaning always on the hood and I can't access skill upgrades at the garage/church) and after maybe one or two, it's time to roll. I mean, you can't fucking balance that shit without tons of time invested.
Later in the game it was just a complete chaotic firefight. Mutants after me, landmines, cars everywhere and ammo gathering once in a while. I can't say it enough. PERFECT. It makes me grab my crotch in excitement just thinking of how epic the story progresses into a full-throttle survival of dodging and shooting. Gun-mounts blasting away at obstacles and mutants and a goddamned helicopter clearing the way at one point. I NEED TO CHANGE MY PANTS.
Gun accuracy is one to be desired. I maxed the pistol and SMG on the guy, but... he's still pretty inaccurate with both. If reload skill on weapons are low, later in the game the guns become practically useless to use unless you find a place to restock at the cost of RP, which also reloads the weapons. I hope when I switch to the hot babe, her 4th weapon will be really, really accurate because it's supposed to be by nature. So my advice: stick to pistol for general purposes and stick to just one of the 2-3-4 weapons and get those skills up.
Games like this make me want to participate or somehow get into development of them. I have no skills (in honor of this game, 0/5 coding, 0/5 artistry, 0/5 knowing what to do) to offer. I'm so glad they upped the Character limit of making reviews, 'cause this game requires 10,000 letter reviews praising it. Just thought I'd put that out there for you.
