Reviews for "Road of the Dead 2"

this game is good when it works, when this game does not fuck you over by lagging or having your inputs not working. but still this game is amazing. it does everything a sequel should do, it gives you more while also continuing the same or different story. in this case this game takes place during the first game but we play as different people and see there perspectives of the story. and also there are more upgrade options, there are perks, and you can chose from the two different characters, each having different weapons then the other. however my main issues with it is that it is harder to gain points in this game, it was easier to get points in the first one because all you had to do was drive, hit zombies, hit the military, and not die. ROTD 2 you have to do everything and anything to live and make it to the next checkpoint. i found that saving civilians is probably the best and fastest way to get points. and the other issues is the lag, for some reason about half the time the game locks up and your inputs don't work. and i have done everything to try to fix this and while lowering the quality and unchecking the hardware acceleration did help, it still happens from time to time. so if that could be fixed in some way that would be amazing. overall i'd say this is much better then the first one, the first one was amazing but this ROTD 2 offers more to the player and gives more things for you to do in order to make sure you last longer to reach the ending. i give this 4.5 out of 5. this game is a great.

love it

Honestly? I did not like this game as much as the first one, it's an amazing game and still one of the best flash games I've played, but it feels very different from the first game. Having to constantly stop for civilians/crates/goodies adds a layer of depth to the survival, but also slows down the flow of the game and makes it slightly more boring. The music is a little less fitting with how slow it can be at times. There is no windshield mechanic, which is surprising considering how important it was in the first game, but it was replaced with the ability to aim (I personally prefer the windshield over the aiming but that's just my preference). The art style is slightly better with humans that look slightly less uncanny and new zombie types. The dialogue between Diane and Chrotcher was interesting but I much preferred John Creaseman's voicelines. You can play this game 2 player if one person aims and the other drives. The environments are a lot more visually interesting that its predecessor.

Pros,
Level Editor
Aiming with guns
More upgrade options
2 player
More enemy types
More interesting environments

Cons,
Slower pace (my main gripe)
Worse performance (can make aiming a pain in the A##)
Feels a lot less badass
Characters arent as likeable imo

Overall, this game is not bad, I DO still love this game, but it's very different from the first one. It's still worth playing and is pretty fun.

my favorite game
