I liked where you were going with this, but the way you've made it, if you lose most of your soldiers, you just crash and burn. there are also some enemy patterns (the five trucks coming down the entire screen being the worst) that are nearly impossible to get past, and if you do, you wont have many soldiers left. Honestly, it feels like you were just trying to throw as much crap as possible at me as you could, which doesn't make for a fun game.

The downside of a system like this will Always be that you're either on a roll, or losing. It's hard to crawl back up after taking a beating, since your "health" is also your firepower.
That being said, I very well enjoyed being down to just my hero in the boss fight. It's a shame I never got to try he rocket launcher, but minigun and napalm seem to be a pretty good combi for demolition works. The fast start and drilling upgrades are easily the best I got to try. One gives you access to the second half of the level when all you can do there is still die, pretty much, and the other one gives so much extra firepower.
The game does feel a little bit slow in places, and the waves of enemies can be divided into two difficulty categories: easy, and medium directly followed by hard. Still, enjoyable game.
Really nice game I even enjoyed the last boss fight.
I would had liked if there were more boss fights at least two more.
After you get missiles the game becomes easy.
I found the first airstrike special the best of them all. It almost destroy the boss fortress each time you use it.The last one heroic dash is really a bad upgrade. Yes it makes you immune to damage but when it rounds out you end up been resounded by enemies then they destroy your squad.
some upgrades are really bad like starting the game with a rifleman and grenade unit. they not good units and i would rather have another like the rocket launcher,sniper and automatic rifleman.
I would really like if there was way to rid off units you don't like to make them leave the squad so another better unit join.
