**PIANO Trick Explained!!!**
first please get a scrap sheet of paper and a pencil or pen.
Now looking at your "Unusual Note" obtained from the Coffee table you should have what looks like a couple L's and R's followed by dashes (indicating keystroke number), And at the bottom of the page are numbers One through Six (**Very Important to take note of this sequence).
Now Simply the L# means counting from the Very first key stroke on the left of the piano inwards, #1, and counting how ever many dashes there are, That is a keystroke. and vice versa for the R(ight) side of the piano. Start from the end and work your way to the center of the piano counting. Regardless of what number the right or left begins with you should count that key as number 1. (My right side began with the number 2 (52nd key but I counted it as number 1 and worked my way to the middle).
My Personal Code (and i believe it's different for everybody) was as follows:
L26 L1 R19 L18 L24 L3
Which looks like gibberish, but that's where the code at the bottom of the page comes in. It tells you the Keystroke sequence to unlock the trap door beneath the piano.
My Code sequence is:
3,1,6,5,2,4
Where the 3rd number (R19) is my FIRST key stroke
1st number (L26) is my SECOND key stroke
6th number (L3) is my THIRD key stroke
5th number is my FOURTH key stroke
2nd number is my FIFTH key stroke
4th number is my Sixth key stroke
After following these steps the trap door beneath the piano should open and take you to the Next part of the map.
Now on that scratch sheet you should have written down Your own key notes and Code sequence. Using the Code Sequence at the bottom of the "usual note" to decipher the correct key stroke order. It could be the same for you or this may be different.
*****BONUS AREA: If you type in the date from the divorce papers, which was September 8, 1993, you will get a basement door key. (Basement door is found in the bedroom closet) That key stroke is as follows: L9 L8 L1 L9 L9 L3
A brown lock key appears on the piano that unlocks basement door to PREVIOUS Escape the Basement game.
I hope this helps you understand how to break the piano puzzle.
It's super hard and the creators should know better but oh well.
Wow I failed hardcore; seriously I need to go back to kindergarten and relearn my left from right. -_- Great game though wasn't too hard or too easy.

Great game! Though I expect surprise ending or preview of the sequel.
Great game, some of the controls to rotate around the rooms could be improved, I felt stuck in spots. Maybe increase the area for backing up or turning.
