That was great! Would've liked to have seen it in color, but still really good. The ending had me laughing, too.

I like the "storyboard" feeling. Some of the shadow effects and lines remembered me of Ergo Proxy - that's a compliment. You could have loaded a bit more on the blacks, greys and shades - also you could have added lines of movement, much like a drawing. Bear in mind those are just suggestions that, of course, consider only my personal taste.
My overall impression is that you work was designed to be clean and smooth and that it has achieved it gracefully, although it came out TOO clean for me. :D
Anyway, congrats, it's a beautiful piece.
