Good game as well as everything uploaded by scriptwelder. However, it was unclear how to make the potion correctly. Half a star off for that.

Great game. For everyone having a little issue with finding the potion recipe, I recommend looking for a second sheet of paper. Good attention to detail as well is worth it.
On the other hand, this game has some issues, minor, that prevent me from giving it Five stars. Issue number one. Detection for objects. I pressed and pressed around where the chain (and the windows lock) many a time, and I didn't hit it. You need tight hit detection or what have you at times, but you need to be a little forgiving on pixels as well. The window lock was finicky, as was most of the stuff involving the window.
Also, direction facing matters, which was kinda odd to see, and not something intuitive from a first time play through at all. It only matters (as far as I know) with a Calm Night, as the exact same situation but me not waiting while facing the door led the attempt to go out the window, and gave me Frightful Night.

A game that stood the test of time with it's innovative idea and flawless pixelated execution, I can see why so many people loved this game. I got a bit frustrated with the small details that stopped me from getting a calm night, but this game is really clever with what you have to do the frustration turns into satisfaction.
