I give this game 3.5 stars. All in all, it's pretty good.
Cons:
1. The fact that you can choose levels is annoying, you should be able to earn them
2. Nothing to earn.gain, just jumping
3.Took me a while to figure out the controls

God this game is hard really fun little Mario video game, I really like it. I really don't see any problems with it so I give it a 5/5.

This is a horrible platformer that isn't made good just because mario is in it. For starters, he doesn't even stand on the black outline of platforms, but instead floats a good 5-6 pixels or so above them. Lame. The plaforms look drawn in ms paint by a child: No gradients, two color, no attention to the grass effect, and a hard black outline. Level 1 consists of a lot of jumping, and the screen suddenly flips at the last platform, so it's highly possible that you'll just jump off the edge at the last platform. I went through about 5 screens of level 1, and it's nothing but 'jump to next platform'. Needs obstacles, an area to walk in, etc.
