Reviews for "A Simple Shooter"

The music is awful I muted it after the first few play... Poorly composed rubbish
And sometimes my bullet just goes throug the target without hit
Fix these and everything will be ok

Kwing responds:

The music is randomly chosen from David Orr's earlier work. Right-click and you can cycle through random tracks.

The bullets glitch sometimes because the game checks a list of bullets that exist for the collision, which resets every 50 bullets. For some reason every rollover bullet glitches.

half, cuz, its kinda in a way sloppy. you should add more graphics, and better controls. but on the good side its one of my fav old school games :)

Kwing responds:

I kind of wanted the graphics to be simple, if you didn't notice. Even the badges, which were the most fanciful part of the game, were simple outlines, extravagant as they do get toward the end.

The controls were also intentional, for reasons that I've already stated.

Pretty interesting concept for a shooter! I found it to be a very original and while "simple" has many aspects for customization that allows for various styles to play and various difficulties. The music as well takes a game with very basic graphics and grand and epic feel. The only thing that was off for me was the controls, which were different from the usual "wasd" but once I got the hang of it the controls worked very well. I really enjoyed this game and liked what it brought to this genre of shooters.

Kwing responds:

I'm really glad you enjoyed it! The simplicity was kind of important, as I wanted it to be easy to introduce new people to the game.

The controls piss me off a little because the keyboard can really get cramped with four people crowding around, and I wanted to prevent key overloads from cancelling out the key registry. Originally I had a control scheme that worked with only one button, but two buttons worked a lot better so I stuck with it.

hmmmm....simple and easy can see the appeal not fun as one player though

Kwing responds:

Yeah, I totally get you there.

cool game. you made this during the entire roadtrip?

Kwing responds:

No, not during a roadtrip. I made this FOR a roadtrip. I'll bring it with me next time I'm away from home.
