Reviews for "ITIAMOSIWE"

I like it but when you die it shouldn't be so loud, the sound scared me because it was so loud. But other than that I like the retro "GameBoy Color" look it has.

Lame

This is one of the most addictive games I've played, you should try to make this an app, i would download this

Pretty good game, I especially like the retro look. The game play is entertaining, and got me playing for a while. You could improve some things though:

-Instant replay: When I die, I want to be able to restart immediately, and don't dwell on a maybe frustrating death. Permanently pressing C made this possible only half a second after the paper roll appeared - it should be immediate.
-Sometimes it took too much time until the death was registered. I was off the screen already, but it just kept scrolling.
-When I'm at the top of the screen, I keep staying at the top of the screen. I have to wait a few moments, until I can see the rest, and then determine what to do next. I want to see a few blocks ahead, no matter where I am.
-The aforementioned point is so important, because you can't simply switch polarity mid-air, if you don't know what's right above you. Let's say one and two blocks above of me are the other polarity blocks. It's almost impossible to just jump, and switch polarity at the highest point without dying. At leat it's more difficult than having just one block right above. This shouldn't be.
-The jump blocks first catapult you up a lot, but the next jumps are much smaller. Jumping up a lot is just annoying, since you get the false feeling of being able to move faster horizontally. Bad idea.

Other than that I really enjoyed the game. I especially liked the steep learning curve.

A few things blocks me from finding the game intertaining:
- Platforms are pretty much spaced for you to fit exactly between them. So you can't simply jump to a parallel block above you. Which leads to :
-Grabbing borders while climbing parallel blocs felt like a pain, especially since the jump animation isnt exactly fluid and you need to be exactly on the right pixel to grab that upper platform.
-Since each platform is so tightly spaced from one another, switching polarity while in midair was also messy, leading to death if only a pixel or two not well aligned, killed from the platform above or under you. Lack in fluidity in jumps adds to the frustration.

I feel like spacing each platform a bit more would make the game more playable (and not really easier or harder). You may also want to tweak that jump animation for something more instinctive, maybe less fast-paced and more fluid. I'm usually pretty tight on those platformers (Super Meat Boy & Cie) but that one, I found myself unable to learn controlling.
