I'm sorry, but nostalgia is not a game mechanic. The music was okay and the pixel art was actually really great, but the gameplay is practically non-existent. The entire game is scanning a poster, clicking on bits of it with no feedback, and moving on. This isn't a quiz game where players have to name what the character is from, it's not a hidden object game where you have a specific list of things to look for under a time limit, and it doesn't break new grounds or define it's own genre.
Had this simply been submitted to the Newgrounds art portal as a "trip down memory lane," then everything would be fine. But this ... work of flash ... is by no means a game and doesn't, in my opinion, deserve to be here.

Where is the actual hunt? Very disappointing. Points for the pixel art, that's it.

This is a fun game, i just wish i recognized any of the characters. Unfortunately I have never been exposed to any form of civilization.

the newgrounds.com achievement is gotten by clicking the newgrounds logo AS THE GAME LOADS, tho i found this out after beating it, had to reset my game data and find all again to get 100%

You shouldn't have to reset the data to unlock it. You just have to reload the game and then check your medals. Still I am sorry you went through all that, but thanks for giving these guys the heads up on how to get that last one, and thanks for your review :)
This game is pretty awesome. The graphics were neat and the premise was cool, despite being unoriginal. However, the controls were a little irritating, as the fact that even the slightest movement would reset the timer. But besides that, I quite enjoyed the game and all the neat little nods in it. Other than the controls and annoying music, the only problem I had was that the game wouldn't register the "Newgrounds.Com" medal, and therefore I could not get 100%. A fix to that would increase my rating to the game. For now, I give a 4/5.
