Reviews for "Adventure Time 8Bit"

kinda liked the game (reminded me of mario) but the falling sword is very difficult.

I think it was pretty good for your first game, music and graphics are awesome, but the swords kinda killed it for me.

Well, its ok, but as a gamer and not as a programer i will be honest since its your first game. The graphics and the music are awesome, but the game was damaged by the gameplay. Those swords was hard to dodge and how can you jump on the plataforms with a sword coming right in your way? If your objective was to make it harder, then you could have made a character that throws the swords so we could at least know where they coming from. The game was too short too, i wish more of it. You just confounded a hard game with an insanely hard game, despite of your little slide on the ideas for the gameplay, i enjoyed it.

Yo Chris! I am having a hard time believing this is your first game ever. If so then great job man! Although I find this game quite difficult because of the sword rain, this game is pretty damn good for a first timer. To quote spencerthehuff "I'd recommend taking them out and adding in enemies." which is a very good idea because when I get to the top of the moving platform, I am having a hard time reaching the other moving platform to get to the 6th beemo. But despite that challenge I actually had a fun time playing the game. So great job, the graphics are smooth for an 8-bit, the music is somewhat relaxing, and the overall appeal of the game is a solid 4.5/5. Are you sure this is your first game? Anyway I was actually surprised that Jake went outside in a sword rain instead of staying indoors and using his imagination.

Thanks! Yeah, I've been a programmer for 2 years now, and this was my first attempt at making a game.
I wanted to add some difficulty besides dodging the swords so that's why the last platform is hard to get on; you have to time it perfectly.

Love the effort you have brought into the first game. Nice touch, with the swords and such, but I think that when you jump, if you hit the floating blocks, it should not let you jump above them. Also, you might think about adding a bigger objective then capturing BMOs. Nice, really great job for your first go. I agree with PokeKirbyDeluxe in saying that you should also have an animation with those swords. Ohh, and a boss fight with the Ice King or something.
