I'll be honest.. I love you guys! I've always been impressed and amused by your work. I'm not sure though, why you posted a new episode based on an old episode. This episode definitely fell short for me in a few ways. It was still very good of course! But it was missing the "LOL!" aspect. *shrug*
I'm not trying to be too harsh though. I know you guys are still amazing. :3
There sure are a lot of psychologists overanalyzing this cartoon in the comments section. It's just a light, comedic play on the worshiping of girls who play mainstream vidya for attention.
The animation was crisp, and the voice actors were alright. The main nerd was the best part, and the girl actually sold a performance that didn't make me cringe.
I liked the video and I saw the first one, but I had a few problems with it.
My first issue was honestly with the animation. It is well drawn and smooth, but it felt like you threw in too much extra stuff in there that didn't need to be. It felt like you were trying to show how flashy you could make it and tried to do a more random movement style that you didn't use in the first. It was done well mind you, but it felt out of place and over done in the end.
My second issue is with your story itself. I just wasn't into it at all until the last half or so. You drug out too much at the front with the creepy guy and it took away from the actual good parts at the end. It was neat seeing just how creepy some guys can be online, but you could have done it in a better way if you ask me like you did in the first one. The end was great, especially when the two girls started argue. I think you could have extended that out more. It felt a little rushed after everything at the first with the creepy guy.
My last issue is with the voice acting. It was good, but the creepy guy sounded too fake to me. He didn't have the type of natural energy and emotion that makes hearing the voice acting enjoyable. The voice acting doesn't have to be great to be enjoyable after all, just needs to feel alive and natural.
Now that my complaining of issues is out of the way, good job. It was still a good animation to watch and shows how much effort you put into it. Keep up all that effort and you will keep on making good animations!
