Reviews for "Host Master Deux"

a bit too long... but challenging
should allow to start from checkpoint to have different endings faster..

I could not understand how this game was played. It was so strange I was thinking that it might have been an April Fool's Day joke at first. Needless to say, I looked at the date and it was not. I guess I'm just thinking this because the game I played before was like that. It just seems to go on too long. I've managed to go upstairs in my house and get the drumsticks.

I try playing a random song, but it doesn't open the trapdoor. I'm thinking it has to be something specific, which is odd, as it tells me to go random. The artwork, however, is quite good in this. You have a fairly nice variety of places to go. I just wish I could understand it.

Flash games are often a problem with Chrome, maybe try Firefox.

Cute, but repeated replays get incredibly obnoxious. Really wish I could carry multiple items at once.

Not bad, but it would be a lot more fun to get the extra endings if:
- The game were shorter, OR
- The game were faster, OR
- You couldn't choose between endings in the last stage, OR
- You could save

Basically I had to do the exact same thing 6 times with only slight changes, and it took too long considering that it's not hard to work out what those changes are. If there were a check point near the end it would have been a little more entertaining but as it was it really just highlighted how slow the rest of the game felt with its pauses (for dialogue and the bird's cutscene, the "skip" button leaves a lot to be desired).

However... The above, the bothersome controls, and single-item inventory aside: This is a fairly entertaining little game with some nice touches, and the different endings are pretty good even if it is a bit of a bore to get them all.
