i think this is a great idea, i just wish there was more control over the car. but such was the style of games in that era, and i believe that is what the author wanted

While I feel you fulfilled your intention very well with this game... for what it is today, it's just not very good.
After I realized that taking proper lines through Monaco (I'm a racing fan) is irrelevant, and drafting the car ahead is all that mattered, the game became disappointing to me. The random accidents were silly to me as well. They were fun to experience though (the ones I did get into anyway).
Art wasn't spectacular, but it does the job. For what I think is your first flash, it's quite good.
4.5/5 for doing what you wanted, and judging based on what I recall of those games. 3/5 as a game on the whole here on Newgrounds, with the game part being the most detracting element.

Thank you very much, i have to admit that i personally share some of your opinions. This game went through many different stages while making. I really wanted something what feels like F1 back then. So i spent much time making it look like something bigger than it actually is now.

A decent throwback game, but I was hoping it would be more like Grand Prix II or even Super Monaco GP II instead of the whole "on rails" gameplay. I love the presentation though. Maybe in the sequel, it will be more like Super Monaco?

i like the options you have for the car and helmet and that you can be interviewed by the reporter my issue is when your car hits the oil patch you don't really have a chance to save the car.Overall i liked it and the track.
