Reviews for "I want to be an Octopus"

There's very little game here - more of an interactive story with only one outcome.
The idea however is quirky and it did make me smile.
I'll consider this a sketch of a larger "dog-to-octupus" game, that is yet to come.
Potentially genius, but as it is, unfinished.

Gallardoblend responds:

Most definitely, and I'll work on incorporating game play more with the concepts in the future. It basically was a rough sketch for a game that I went back over later to "pretty it up". There may not be any other dog-to-octopus games, but it's a solid first try for me as an experience.
It definitely taught me a good bit creating this.

I love this game and I love you :3
I am so proud of you!! Hehe you are mister wonderful.

Gallardoblend responds:

Ah thank you!

To me it's 5 stars. Just because I believe you both were high when creating this. Also, great idea, music and art.

Gallardoblend responds:

Ah well thanks, though I most definitely wasn't high during the process of making the game haha.

Nice little story, but really not much of a game in this one. You forgot to add that as octopus you can also move up and down, and that's pretty essential info, heh.

Gallardoblend responds:

Yep pretty much, I agree, it was a side project and also my first completed game. The ideas were the most prominent, and the game play is just locomotion to progress the narrative. So it's not really fleshed out in certain departments.
Ah and why tell players everything when it's much more interesting for you guys to figure it out yourselves! I wanted to respect everyone's intelligence and assume they would perhaps try different things hehe. Seems like it worked for you figuring it out yourself.

That was beautiful! At first I thought the message seemed kinda bland and obvious but the ending really brought it together!

Gallardoblend responds:

Thanks! I'm glad you thought so!
