Reviews for "Hidden Daggers"

Nice progression! What string and choir libraries did you use? They're really great! Also is this part of a game/film as you seem to have split this into Act I and Act II?

Others have pointed out that it does have a very Arabian and ancient feel to it with the choir added to it. But it also does have a very modern feel. I can see this being used in literally any situation which involves suspense or has tension build up.

LunyAlex responds:

Thanks a lot for the review!
The strings are mostly LA Scoring Strings with a pinch of Spitfire Albion 1 (violins), and the choir is Rhodope: Ethnic Bulgarian Choir.

And sadly no, not part of a game or film, hah (*whispers*: I wish), but I like to contextualize/structure most of my songs as if they were. Maybe a bit pretentious, but it helps me keep focus.

Thanks again!

This is really awesome! Like Lucid mentioned this has an Arabic feel to it, I can picture myself in a desert when listening to this.
Really love the string work and percussion and I'm thinking Act ll starts at 01:17?
Nice work man :)

LunyAlex responds:

Yep, spot on, heh, Act II does indeed start at 01:17.
Thank you very much, I'm very glad you like it!

YES!
I've been awaiting a new piece by you :3

I feel like there is a story behind this one :/
The name really implies so at least XD
Very good string and percussion work. To my ears, this sounds arabic, especially at the parts where the choir is playing, even if the strings suggest so too.

The first act of the piece feels more positive. At least until 1:02.
There's a lot of percussion work in between along with some strings in between, but at it's very latest,I'd say that the second act would begin at 1:35, as that is where things start to get really intense. I have a hard time finding an exact point of transition though! Everything is so smooth :p

This track would be great as a movie soundtrack! Awesome job dude ;)

LunyAlex responds:

Without trying to sound too full of myself, "I've been awaiting a new piece by you" is a really, really cool thing to hear, hah.

Initially I was going for Victorian-ish, but it turned out more oriental, indeed. Close enough :D.
Very glad you think it doesn't transition too abruptly. That's usually my weak point. And you're close: 2nd Act starts at 1:17. Takes on a more action oriented approach there I guess.

Thank you very much for taking the time and thank you for your kind words! It really does mean a lot! Cheers!
