I really enjoyed this game. Wish there was more complexity, but otherwise enjoyable.

I don't see anything to stop you from buying out a family in one day... Other families could maybe react to this, feel threatened? They don't. Player just repeatively hoardes money, starting with bribing press over 50%, and consequently bribing all city to 100% respect, safely upgrading areas and alcohol.
Other families don't seem to do anything remarkable at this point.
The fact that whole city shares your reputation is kinda unrealistic, I expected that when I buy out or shoot out a family, people of their former terrain will be suspicious.
The fact that the liquor doesn't firstly go to the most dry district is also not cool. They should be distributed that the engine tries to leave every district with same stock, so starting with the lowest numbers.
Would make to decent multiplayer.

So original yet so poorly implemented, you should have spent more time testing and adding finnishing touches. It's very straightforward, increasing the profit and bribing everyone to the max (funny how a tiny bribe to the politicians can save you from a huge tax in comparison) is a no brainer with nothing that could go wrong. It would have very simple to complete with a blitzkrieg if it wasn't so bugged, I sent 50 guys with tommy guns to each district in Manhattan which should have been failproof but that didn't work at all, I lost all of them and I couldn't undo it by loading either.
an extremely laggy game....I quit when the "world map" menu wouldn't let me change to any other tabs. lost interest very quickly, disappointed...no review.
