One of Santa's elves was Link, the guy's mom was Dexter's Mom from Dexter's Lab, and at one point, where the guy is slapping Santa, Santa's face looks like Hank Hill and he says "Bwah!"
I love little details like these.

When they implemented derpy hoovs as part of an episode, rather than a goofy background extra.
The adult fanbase was beeing responded to. Parents found the name "derpy" a bit distasteful and the adult fanbase lashed. The show isn't even targeted to them, and the fact that they had some creative control just got under my skin.
I have to say, I love how, even as a brony, (or former brony, if that's what you are) you're still able to poke fun at the fandom in a way that's somehow funny without being offensive. Heck, I'm a full-on brony, and I've watched this video a couple times now, and it cracks me up every time!
All in all, an impressively tasteful jab at us bronies that even we can find humorous.
