Great job, I'm not too big of a castlevania fan, but I really enjoyed this. My only gripe was that I think the statues should restore your health the first time you pass them.

Nothing wrong with a challenge.
Nice Castlevania clone, I smiled when I realized what it was. I'm not familiar with Katawa Shoujo, but I've never played the original Castlevania series, so it was nice to experience what it was like. I'm glad the checkpoints are at least semi-forgiving, but as it stands right now, the second level is too hard for me, haha. (I did manage to beat the boss; as with most things, it's not as difficult when you learn their attack patterns and learn to anticipate.)
PS, I was totally guilt-tripped into not going casual by the 'recommended for handicapped' thing... Nice keeping us accountable as to the difficulty factor, lolol.

I love that we all can now delve into the maddened mind that is Kenji, with great game play to boot! You really brought out that old Castlevania feel, too, and I very much appreciated of all that nostalgia. Bravo, fine sir!
