Reviews for "The Children of Brinn"

I found it a little too easy. I made it through with my whole party on the first attempt, just going with what seemed like the most logical decisions. After that I started screwing around making the oh so obviously wrong decisions to see what would happen. In the next game (which I really hope there will be one) you should make more decisions, and try to avoid having too many obvious choices.

this is a very nice start to a possible series. you should try making expansions for it or even entire new games for this series.

Good music use, and gives the feeling of a glimsp into a larger world. Is a bit simple, and the replay value is low, but for an experiment game, is pretty good.

I had a very good time playing this, though it was far from perfect. Too often I felt like I had no control over what was happening, despite the decisions I made. There were also too few choices. This is, of course, my opinion. It was still enjoyable. So then,
+ Interesting characters
+ Story hints at a larger world that could be fleshed out in future
+Visuals serve their purpose
+Medal's are well implemented with story, and work.

-The ability to have items, yet very few are available.
-Too few choices.
-Characters abilities and skills are rarely taken advantage of.

The Rogue is the most important character in this story, though.
Twice he saves the party from disaster, and is instrumental in getting the ending where nobody dies (except for that suggestion of getting drinks...)

Hyptosis responds:

Haha, it's always the boozer that gets everyone in trouble.
