The soundtrack was awesome.

Short, Simple, and completely awesome. The facial expressions really bring out the emotions, and its been a while since i've seen a flash this short leave an impression. Actually kind of reminds me of visual novel style.
My only gripe is that it isn't exactly animated, just awesome transitions between drawings. Maybe next time you could animate it? For instance, when the guy is giving the gift back.
