Reviews for "A Keaton's Tale"

The animation and other art left much to be desired, but you're obviously improving. The length surprised me a little as did the story and concept. While the voice acting was very lacking for Kafei, the rest was better. The voicing was especially great from the Keaton.

My favourite part of this was definitely the idea of taking Zelda characters that were only minor and making them the leads. The sound editting was pretty awesome too. I suck at that myself.

This was a pretty good animation. Ah the nostalgia comes back to me. Plus I loved the little things that were hard to pick up on if you never played the game. Your usage of sound effects made this flash awesome. I'm only docking a star because the mask is given to Kafei by a shop owner not by the Keaton. Other then that the flash was awesome.

Originally I had a second part that revolved around the curiosity shop man (who was a boy) giving Kafei a hand made Keaton mask. Kafei had the one the keaton gave to him stolen a bit later. But the flash would have ran too long and I decided to cut it out. Thanks for the review : >

I really enjoyed this animation. You don't often see many serious video game animations on Newgrounds on these days, and it's nice to see one. I really like the whole concept of the story and the theory behind some of the stories in the game. While the animation could've been better, and the sound was a bit off sometimes, this was a really solid animation. I look forward to seeing more of this kind of thing.

It is refreshing to see someone make a flash about video games and actually attempt to do something interesting with the subject matter, rather than churning out yet another banal parody. I also enjoyed how the format was reminiscent of old television programs like "Tales from the Darkside". I hope you do more Keaton Tales in the future.

Eastbeast responds:

Thanks, I agree as well, the zelda universe has more potential than to be just a parody source. Thanks for the review : >

My favorite zelda game over all, love the video and you did a good job the Keaton's personality

Eastbeast responds:

Thanks, Seymour did a great job of bringing him to life : >
