This would be ten times better if the characters weren't so cluttered together. I don't even understand why that is - you already have us panning the camera, so why couldn't you just make the area a bit bigger and space the characters out more?

ElectricFruit responds:

I was going for a Where's Waldo / Wally vibe.
Thanks for Playing.

Considering I never played an NES all throughout my childhood, I'm proud to say that I beat your little puzzle in the time it takes a pizza to get delivered (that is, just under 30 minutes).

I will say this, though--it's a real pain in the ass to find some characters when they either blend into the background or are tucked halfway behind another character. Was I the only one who spent five whole minutes looking for Link because he just didn't pop out? And Simba, too; I was expecting to look for a yellow lion cub, not some mess of a brown dog.

ElectricFruit responds:

Congratulations on beating the game (and finding a good pizza delivery guy).

I was going for a where's Waldo / Wally vibe and as such some of the characters are harder to find than others.

As for the Simba sprite - this is what we had to put up with in the old days ;-).

Thanks for Playing

medals didn't work...whole reason i worked to find em all... :/

loved seeing all the old familiar faces though

ElectricFruit responds:

Apologies that the medals didn't work. This is the first time I have had this complaint - could you let me know which browser you are using?

Some serious annoyances in there

"Airman from Megaman III". No, Airman is from Megaman 2
"Toad from Super Mario Bros." No, the Toad selected is the one from Super Mario Bros. 2
"Peach from Super Mario Bros. 2" No, her name was Princess Toadstool in Super Mario Bros. 2, not Peach. She wasn't called Peach in the US until Super Mario 64.
"Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" ... not technically wrong since that's the European name for those games, but come on just call it Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles like all the normal people do.
Mortal Kombat characters in there -- There was no official Mortal Kombat NES game although there exist unofficial fan-made versions.
Street Fighter II characters in there -- Same as Mortal Kombat, there was no official Street Fighter II NES game although there exist unofficial fan-made versions.

its only letting me cycle through characters with space and giving me the names even though i never guessed.
