Reviews for "Kerslash Episode 1"

I knew I recognized the voice! That's Nowacking! Great animation and writing by the way!

Celshaded responds:

Thank you!

This was interessing! Good animation

Don't lisen to douchebags! Paige look very cute :3

I was definitely impressed. The one sole thing that just really bothered me though.... was the main character pointing out her own ego.....

1. Not sexy
2. Not funny
3. Not smart

Not that its a travesty, but I just can't help but feel that this is something that the main character should not do. I mean, what's the point of everybody else in the room then ?_?

Celshaded responds:

She's a talented person that's aware of her ego, what's wrong with that?

This has so much potential to be an amazing show I swear. A lot of it reminds me of FLCL the way everything is stylized and animated, though a lot of the actual animation is somewhat crooked and could use some refining, mostly in the lip syncing department. Some of the other effects, like the ninja swooshing background seemed very 2006-ish in terms of quality. If more of this was cleaner but still retained the edgy art style then it'd be very pleasing to watch indeed. As for writing, it could be a little better, nothing entirely too bad, it just doesn't seem to waste time initiating a storyline which is one of my own personal nit picks. It'd be cool if we were introduced to the characters a little more. We know the three characters came from a ninja, wizard, and sky pirate school. The pirate is the ninja's friend and the wizard is the ninja's new roommate. Ok cool, are they in a new school? What kind of school is it? Has the viking chick always had some grudge, is the geeky anime trope character who serves the double purpose of being the quiet and mysterious intellectual her brother? Boyfriend? It's always essential to establish a reader or viewer in whatever you're showing them so they're caught up with everything and forget that they're not watching a cartoon, but rather are experiencing it.

But like I said, this seriously has some incredible potential, maybe have some sort of assistance with the animation or practice refining movements until it's nice and fluid. I would definitely love to see this series go somewhere awesome.

How did this not get on the front page? now for the obligatory joke I make for every flash I like,
"Reggie?! Holy crap even you're word has a piercing!" thank you thank you send your hate mail to my agent... who is me.
Seriously though that was really good.
