I enjoyed the game, but is it possible to make the sentry slightly faster?

Hey! Could I ask what makes you think that this gun needs to be faster? Did you try out the minigun? that is a really fast shooter and it just keeps getting faster the more you upgrade it.
The sentry gets pretty powerful when upgraded to level 5, as it gets critical hits, that deal a lot of damage. The sentry is designed to be a cheap way to get a decent amount of damage on the zombies.
