Reviews for "Kingdom Of Zombies"

6th line, mae = make.

Roughly five stars, overall awesome game, you know what this game reminds me of? One of the early early warcrafts. Like warcraft 1 or 2 on ps1. Actually, it's pretty exactly like it, the selecting, the making peasants, the making soldiers, the building. Are those... Wth are those?!! I'm not sure what type of zombies those are on lvl 1, they look feminine, so I'm guessing female zombies, or some weird ghoul or what-not. Could use some updates, try equaling out the battle, I find that my soldiers often dominate enemies, try making the enemies a bit stronger. I guess this is it.. Before I leave, could you perhaps mae different classes of soldiers / mercs or whatever these little footmen are? Such as spearman, who have slight reach over blades, axes, who have better damage, and maybe a catapult for over bow range and quite a bit of damage? They would take up 4 peasants and it would move slowly. I'm only up to level two, but from what I can predict that's all the real soldiers you can get. Maybe a mage or wizard? Ah yes, a horseman, maybe you could divide up the swords and the swords with shields. I hope you take the time to read all this.

-Fenty, out.

im just tooking a wild guess from the Guys BELOW that commented good and bad things about the game on what i have observed i need to put a 4.5 still good work

this game is awesome but needs improvements like....

I'm an avid fan of strategy games, growing up with the board game "Risk", and getting into such RTS games like Starcraft and Warcraft (long before they had their own world!) back in the early 90's. I can tell a lot of work went into this and overall, it was fairly well done.

The graphics and the animations were much better than most RTS Flash games. Lumberjacks swing their axes and eventually leave nothing but stumps, peasants traverse between town and their work locations, rather than just milling about while supposedly working. Let's not forget the "Waypoints" feature, which is often overlooked in Flash RTS games. While this feature is only available to buildings, and thus, only new units produced, the maps are small enough that its not necessary for existing troops to need this feature.

However, some points you may want to consider should you attempt to make another RTS:

1) Troop movement is extremely frustrating. You have to keep selecting them, because every time you click on the map, they become "unselected". This becomes a setback when trying to moving large numbers of units across the map and in positioning troops for an attack.

2) Most RTS games I know of allow you to select units into organized groups and assign those to a key, usually #'s 1 - 4 (1 -9 for larger games). This makes it so you can regroup during and after a battle and strategically build groups with certain units to maximize their effectiveness. That feature is absent here. Constantly having to select individual units for a group or randomly selecting units for/during battle eliminates a large part of the strategic element.

3) The map scrolling is slow to respond. While it is only a momentary delay, it can be bothersome when you have to hover your mouse on the arrows for 1 to 2 seconds before scrolling begins, especially when a battle is underway and every second counts.

4) Part of an RTS is resource management, and this includes managing workers; who is gathering supplies, who is building, etc. Here, you select a peasant to build things, but they still gather resources while building. While it does eliminate some of the challenge and strategy of managing workers, at least the peasant is only able to "build" one building at a time, so at least that aspect isn't a total bust.

5) I never came across any zombies. Animated skeletons, yes, but no zombies.

6) The music was good, but after 20 loops of that porn sounding funk guitar, it became annoying. I know Flash severely limits content, but perhaps save that kind of music for key events, like battles. Maybe have something more ambient in the background if you must have music during normal game play.

Overall, This game was still worth playing and I hope to see more!
