Reviews for "Protect Tommy"

This is a Fun great game. The only thing bad I have to say is when grabing objects they spin around crazy like the metal L. Other than that great game great job

* Reviewed when the game was Under Judgement.

Circles, building blocks, obstacles, gravity - get ready for another Physics game, peeps.

The art is cute and brightly coloured without needing to burn my eyeballs with neons, which is a really good match with the jolly background music. The background (graphical, not musical) is animated.

Controls in the game is entirely on the mouse. Click, drag, adjust and click Go when you are ready to let Tommy off on his own, with the shelter you built, to face his bullies. Your cursor really works like a hand this time because depending on where you click and drag, the block will rotate according to law of physics and determine the object's centre of gravity (which is vital to plot where you want to drop it).

Gameplay was fluid and absolutely flowed with no lag on my computer system. :D Though it wasn't very addictive for me (puzzle games are not my favourite, per se), I still enjoyed the game very much. Worth my 10 minutes.

Art: 4 stars
Sound: 4 stars (repetitive)
Controls: 4.5 stars (frustrating when the object gets stuck between tiny platforms)
Gameplay: 4 stars
Overall: 4 stars (4.1 stars)

Pretty cool twist on these sort of puzzle games. I like the simple graphics, they don't take away from the logic...which isn't bad.Very much enjoyed trying to fit shapes and protect tommy from the bad red dudes. However, the timer runs too fast for ANYONE to get 3-stars. Furthermore, why should they? Maybe if there were incentives for getting a perfect score...

anyway....
out of 10...
gfx - 7 (nothing to special, but they work well)
sfx - N/A (I have no soundcard)
design - 7 (very solid, perhaps a bit unfair)
gameplay - 6 (the physics are decent, but perhaps the levels become too difficult)

overall, there is a lot of replay value in this game. However, the features that make it unique are overshadowed by the graphics typical of this genre and physics that don't particularly "wow" us...these two things may combine to encourage a lack of interest in "Protect Tommy". I do think the reviews thus far are somewhat unfair, however.

The graphics are very simple but suit the game. The background seemed a little pixelated and blurs but that may have been done on purpose so it doesn't distract from the rest of the game. The sprites are all animated (blinks).

There's not much of a point to getting all three stars in a level. Other than that, I found the gameplay enjoyable. There is a steady progression from easy to hard and the walkthrough is very helpful for some of the harder puzzles.

The music is fitting but very, very repetitive. The sound effects are okay and just the right volume to match with the music.

I played for about fifteen minutes and enjoyed it. Good work!

if you change the scoring youd get 5 stars the weasyeast way to do tat i would think would be to add more items then you need
