It seems like an alright game, but I don't understand the hit detection at all. Bullets will hit my ship all day long, and I can even pass through streams of them, but then sometimes I'll die, and sometimes I won't. I just don't understand.

ZEGMAN responds:

It's in the tutorial, the hitbox is the flashing square on the ship.

As an introductory bullet hell game, this is actually very compelling. I definitely would not consider this to be an advanced bullet hell by any means, largely because the scoring system serves to simplify the game, in many cases , rather than make it more complex. After all, you are forced to follow the trail of coins, which means that the coinstream HAS to be relatively "safe." Long term upgrades reward players who spend a lot of time on the game, but I guess that's par for the course for a flash game.

ZEGMAN responds:

Thanks a lot :D

Eh, I expected more to be honest. Dodging bullets and looking for gold is okay but it gets repetitive. I was promised large bosses and assumed there would be enemies and other essential elements for a good Shmup. It definitely needs improvement.

I quite liked the game, though i wish there was a bit more to it...It seemed a tiny bit repetitive, but i guess its just the nature of the genre. Its mostly the fact that you are dodging and getting coins, instead of shooting at enemies that usually spice up this type of game. Also, in my opinion, the upgrade system needed a tiny bit...more...maybe a few new upgrades? Anyways its still a quite good game ^^

ZEGMAN responds:

Thanks for the feedback :D

Great game, but even with a great machine, the game still really lagged during boss fights when your laser was being fired. This cause me to die a lot of times, and get frustrated enough to quit playing an otherwise good game.

ZEGMAN responds:

Sorry about that, the resolution I chose (800x600) takes a lot of power to render
