Reviews for "FrankenSplit"

Well, it took me a week or two, but I finally beat level 16. So. Many. Pixel-perfect jumps.

Awesome game, simple concept, perfectly executed. I liked the game and the way it was something new and simple, the difficult it's perfect since it makes somewhat hard to beat, but not as frustrating like to make you quit. I would consider it 30 minutes of fun.
I also liked the fact that in some levels you could leave one of the frankensteins between two walls while you solved puzzles with the other one, but in some levels you had to use both at the same time! that was a really nice touch, i liked that.
Some improvements i would recommend would be to add a pause button(if there is one and i didn't notice, sorry), and maybe change the backgrounds colors, or even make open-field backgrounds, to make it look really nice.
music wasn't bad either, i found it a bit catchy and it really fitted the game.

P.S. i really liked your previous game "johnny upgrade" i got every medal from that game! and looking at other of your games, "troll cannon" looks like fun, i guess i will play it, and maybe i'll other of your games, you look like a good author with a lot of potential, but look like you don't venture into making a big game, you know one that can't be beaten in one sitting, but what you make is awesome, you are now one of my favorite artists. sincerely looking forward to your future works,

Wow. I didn't know that two monsters and a button would work so well. Sometimes I even thought I was playing a puzzle game instead of a platformer! No,seriously, some levels I scratched my head because I didn't know what to do,especially level 11,that one's a hard f#@$&%! But still, wow. I have high hopes for FrankenSplit 2. Anyway, grrrrrrrrrreat game. (See what I did there?)

Hehe thanks :) - And I agree, it's indeed rather a kind of timing/puzzle game!

Simple, sweet, everything a good flash game should be. Great idea, good theme. Love it!

Thanks a bunch!

An interesting concept, and one well executed. Thought and planning were both required to pass each stage, as well as keeping an eye on both sides of the screen and acting accordingly, which together made for an engaging gameplay experience.
Graphically and aurally everything fits rather nicely, and the difficulty curve felt just right - tricky, but at no point frustrating enough to stop me from playing; certainly I was compelled to finish the game once starting it.
My only complaints would be that the game is rather short at only 16 stages, and that the ending is quite blunt and unsatisfying. Additionally, falling from a ledge does not count as a jump, meaning you cannot use midair jumps directly after doing so, which feels a little strange when compared with contemporary platformers.
A fun game all the same, though.

whileworking responds:

Oh, I don't think it's too short for a flash game, good players should be busy for at least 1/2h. I understand what you mean, but this "jump issue" doesn't seem very important for the gameplay.
