Good game, one problem I noticed on the first boss though is that you can't fire directly upward, which is pretty awkward.

Thanks but I'm pretty sure firing a heavy crossbow straight up would look even more awkward, the recoil from it would shatter his spine.
it didnt even load propaly since it kept showing the newgrounds and marble pictures

Quite the superb flash game. I'll try to review it without spoiling it too much.
Story: I wasn't told all that was happening or why, and I'm fine with that. If anything it keeps me more engaged in the story, trying to figure out what happened next. As well the humor was-in my opinion- quite good. Great job by OdellAtkinson on the voice acting there.
Skill needed: Not a whole lot. It's a point and click shooter, not a whole lot of expectations there to begin with. I'm glad you did not make the entire game a puzzle, but if you included more that would have been fine with me. On that note the diminishing light of the lantern only really came into play once, I'm fairly sure you know where since it seems you designed for that. As well I'm glad that you made the crossbow not be able to shoot in a complete 360.
Ending: Possibly the best ending I have seem of any game in quite some time. Sets up for a sequel (perhaps more than 2 regular enemies in that one?) without revealing too much.
My one critique I have is the text. When Anselm is talking between scenes the text seems to scroll a little too slowly. As well a reminder to click to continue might have been nice.
really nice graphics, game play and voice acting BUT it lags a lot I don't know why. It's really difficult to draw the symbols and it's lagging :/
