Reviews for "Days Of Blood"

Simple idea in a gruesome setting, what's not to love? The criticisms I can think to say about it is that the run animation on the knight looks kind of silly, and the attack range on the sword seems really short for how long the sword appears to be.

Good game, but i find the sword attack to be rather useless. Clicking sword attack makes you do either one swipe or two swipes, and it happens randomly, sometimes leaving you defenseless from the waves of Monsters (I think they are monsters). The shield bash + Sword throw is more then enough. One time i managed to throw the sword off screen by mistake, the sword automatically returned to my hand after a short while, I imagine there was an issue with losing your sword when thrown off stage, You've handled it very well if that's the case. If not, good job at avoiding it all together. The ending was a bit different then i expected, but I suppose I was foreshadowing for a bit of a "mature" rated game ending. Though the ending was not an issue, it was appropriate for this type of plot and game. One issue i disliked though was the 666 monsters. I completely get how 666 is the devil's number and it was cleverly used here in this case, but after awhile it became child's play to predict the order they'd come in. Even still, nice game, I liked the way the characters were drawn and liked the line "I'll put my sword down" as well. I look forward to future games. ^_^

PS: I managed to beat all 666 of them but unfortunately my router decided to go down mid game. So, by the time my internet was back up I lost all the medals I earned as well as making it onto the scoreboard. As i said, Cool game, but its more tedious than "fun" killing all 666 over again. Maybe I'll go for it again in the future. XD

Oh yeah, found that bug ( the double stab bug) it should be fixed now on V7.
About the showr throw, yeah, it's intentional, so the player doesn't lose the sword.

Enjoyed the game, seems pretty smooth with the fixes you've implemented. Something i might suggest as a possibility for a future installment would be perhaps a block button to counter some form of ranged attacks? If you did decide to implement a health bar system, you could have a button for kicking away grappling enemies to get around the instant death scenario. I think the trophies kept me going through this, as the ending would have been very disappointing without them. Looking forward to the sequel!

bnpla responds:

In the sequel i'll make sure the cutscenes are a lil bit more rewarding. And there wont be "one hit kill" based, it will have combat.

Pretty good, have you thought of implementing an upgrade system in the sequel?

bnpla responds:

Yesssss!!! ^___^

Awesome scary hard game, found it because you used my music in it!!!

This is the first time my music has been used and to be used in a game with 220k views is epic. Let me know if you want to work with me on any future games :3

bnpla responds:

hey the game got almost 1 millions views from arround the web!! 220k only in this webstie ^_^
Yeah i will let you know. You know how game making is, specially if you are a one man team, things can get slow.
