Pretty good for a game made in 2 days. The game played well aside from a few boundary issues (the corners on the entrances were blocked). I noticed after clearing all the rooms I couldn't use the map to go to the exit, only the first room was designated "unclear". The last thing I thought might be of use was to have a chart on the map screen detailing how many points the different colored cogs were worth. Other than those issues it was a pretty good, if simple, flash made within the time constraints, though it could have used another dose of humor. All in all, good job and I hope to see more from you in the future.

Yeah, this is actually my first action game that didn't use asteroids-style wrapping borders, so to avoid messing with hit testing the walls properly I simply made it so that if a wall was "open" it cancelled out all movement if you pressed against it, diagonal included. Very good point on the cog value! And thanks very much for the review :)

I loved it but was too short

Very short, basic game. Kinda tough on the brain to wrap around the firing buttons...but that's a good thing. A good start.

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't realize most gamers use WASD for movement and thus would use the arrows for shooting... I was considering fixing that before I uploaded it to NG, but I wanted to keep it true to the Ludum Dare version so I left it alone :)

would love to see the game evolve from here

1) Learn the difference between "it's" and "its". 2) Robotron controls have the movement on the left and the shooting on the right. It's really clumsy to play with my arms crossed. At least give the option to configure! 3) Not that great anyway.

LOL I'm actually very ashamed by the grammatical error... I barely had time to mess with balancing the levels, let alone check the text of the game before the contest ended... And yes, the control scheme was the number one complaint I got, it will definitely be fixed in a fuller version :) Thanks for your time!
