Reviews for "Platcore"

I did not like this game.

It was far too hard. The bullets were impossible to see when there are other things going on, so they often hit you. The big crusher things are not indicated enough at all, the player is looking at the ROBOT and the IMMEDIATE SURROUNDINGS, not the TOP OF THE DAMNED SCREEN.

Usually I love a game with good customization, and this game doesn't break that rule; because it isn't good customization. Sure, there are loads and loads of different options, but the robot is so tiny you can barely see them, and you don't get a preview of the different parts so you don't really know what it looks like until you've bought it. Also, you get to customize a robot which you can strain your eyes to not look because you're looking at other things for 2 minutes until you die and then you get some randomized thing. Why? Pointless?!?

Also, finishing levels is ridiculously easy because of the infinite lives.

I say, take away the infinite lives and give the player some limited amount of robots, but make it EASIER with actually easily visible hazards. The challenge should be in dodging them, not seeing them.
Maybe some random drops that replenish your shield or health would be good. And I don't really know why you've called it a platformer, because there aren't any platforms, save the floor.

Some other movement abilities would be nice as well, like some kind of 'super dash' which more or less teleports you to the other side of the room but without avoiding all the obstacles, maybe a jetpack, etc.

Also, the game seems to have fun spawning you whilst there are giant lasers in the middle of the room which instantly kill you. I got an 'exclusive' robot once and it died instantly because of sed laser. That needs a fix.

But generally, the game was just too hard to be fun. I don't know what LouisCyphre2501 is saying about it being too easy, he must have exceptional eyesight. Or maybe he's a robot himself.

It's promising, the game would probably be fun if it was slightly more possible to keep a robot alive for an entire level. But the machine gun bullets need to be made bright red or something so they're easier to see, and the crushers need to have a more obvious indication of that they're about to instantly kill your character that you've just painstakingly kept alive for the last two and a half minutes. And either remove the customization feature altogether or remove the price feature. Or at LEAST add a 'preview' thing so you know what you're about to buy. Maybe even have it so the different robot parts give different abilites or stats, that would add more variety to the game. The game is very unvarietable.
I don't even care if that isn't a real word because you know exactly what I mean. It's just 'dodge some lasers, dodge some bullets' "oh what bullets? I don't see any bullets" *gets hit by bullets* "Oh, come on game, they were impossible to see" *gets crushed by crushy thing* "That was even more impossible to see" *gets some randomized robot that might be cool looking if the player had time to look at it* "Hey, it's got a rarity of-" *gets crushed by crushy thing* *ragequit* *write complaining review*

Two lights at the top aren't sufficient warning that you're going to lose your character. Also, it's the only one-hit-ko in the game.

A pretty average yet fun game. Also, I agree with LouisCyphre2501's review. While i'm sure this wasn't something you poured your heart and soul into, it couldn't keep me engaged beyond a quick customization. You really only need to use your shield and run through everything to survive. I love the concept and the idea of "collecting" these robots though, i'd love to see it incorporated into a future game of yours.

I had fun, but the length surprised me. Also, I didn't see why there were levels because it didn't seem to help anything if you leveled up. Leveling was just pointless.

Wanted to like it. But for one it's too easy. Two: it lacks polish. The weapons should have some sound effects, and your jump needs some sort of sound effect. Get rid of the shield, it makes the game too easy. The techno was pretty average.

Everything else I liked and I would've rated it higher but the meh gameplay really hurt it.
