Reviews for "Vivirion.2"

Remind me of Osmos....

At first it was fun.

Then I found had to experience all the flaws of the game everybody else was talking about.

1. smaller cells can kill you... why?
2. after growing to a certain point and getting hurt, smaller cells won't show up. Thus, if you get hurt, you can't recover form it.
3. mouse is just hard to use, especially when it leaves the screen.
4. upgrades don't show that much difference
6. music is sooo repetitive
7. I sat in one spot to die... didn't die at all. even the white cells stopped following me
8. i can slip past my prey unless i touch its center
9. too many games exactly like this
10. virus should multiple never keep growing; it's debated as to whether if it's even a living organism. it only has genes to pass on and multiply that's all. Bacteria would be better

I don't know. Sometimes there are cells that look smaller than me and yet they hurt me. There is terrible mouse lag sometimes. And it is unclear when a level is going to end.

Except for speed, the upgrades don't seem to actually work. Second, I have been takng damage from cells twice as small as mine. Third, the damage is just too much. Two wronge cells and it is better to kill yourself to try again. Last, but not least, without the bonus that allows you to eat any cells there is no way you complete the game.

Reading the comments it seemed interesting. When I learned that you used the mouse to control the cell, I knew it wasn't going to be fun. Over all, it's an interesting concept. Controlling the thing was a damn nightmare. Your collision system sucks ass. It was reading the red cells as bigger than what they are and you collide with them a few pixels outside of the cells. I passed across several white cells and had to hit the center of them for those to read as a collision. the growth/ decrease in the sizing of the red cells is horribly off. I had red cells twice the size of my cell when I had a third of the meter filled and that was all I could find for a while. When I lost most of my cells "life" it took a solid 20 seconds to get the screen with a majority of cells anywhere near my cell's size. It was Extremely hard to notice some of the cells early on because the background is very similar in color to the cells and the cells have way to much fading set into them. Seems like you guys didn't even try to make anything look different other than changing the color. Last complaint since I know this is how it shall be read, because the young kids of newgrounds are to pacifist to admit when something sucks, is that the meter was fucking retarded. Half the damn time I couldn't remember if I was dieing or not. If you want to make a game like this, use a damn health bar and experience bar, or what ever the hell you want to call it, separately. Actually try to make a decent game. Also try using the damn arrow keys or wasd format. It works a lot better.
