Reviews for "Turbo Golf"

totally a fun game, great graphics amazing!

i always love these games from Kongregate. Always fun, easy to handle, they always work, and the humor is well thought out. Keep up the good work turbonuke, thank yourself and your sponsors just for me and the rest of the gamers.

This is likely the best golf game I have ever played in my life. Fun, funny, clever idea, challenging even with upgrades, and a fair bit of random luck made a very good combination.

Only negative: It seemed that some Bonus features remained grayed out. I guess you have to go to Kongregate to get them?

Impressive work as always.

Being familiar with TurboNuke's previous work on Kongregate and other sites, it wasn't a suprise to see that Turbo Golf is yet another game that has good artwork, comprehensive gameplay, a great soundtrack, and just plays really well, all while having the originality TurboNuke is known for.

You first pick from the many popular TurboNuke characters (if you're a first-timer, you only get one character choice. Sorry). The objective is to race to the end by sinking your ball first in as little shots as possible, earning from a range of 1-4 points based on your position. As you play each round, you earn money to buy new equipment and powerups from the well-designed shop screen inbetween holes. Powerups range from shot boosters, coin magnets, air boosts, and others.

The gameplay is standard, having a power meter indicating how powerful your shot will be, along with an aiming trail to fine-tune your shots. It's best to get the shot meter in the yellow zone for a "Super Shot!", adding 10% power to your swing.

The artwork and animation is all you'd expect from a TurboNuke game, along with an impressive soundtrack that sets the tone quite nicely. Accompanied with a variety of locations and holes, each unique in it's own way, and in-game achievements that completing will unlock new characters, new customization options, and even new powerups, this game is a perfect addition to the TurboNuke arsenal of games.

There is, of course, minor flaws. When exiting a hole at any time, any power-ups you used during that hole do not return when you try again. Plus, you never really get to see where your ball goes during a Super Shot, which may result in rebounding it off a hill by mistake, or falling into one of the many traps or lakes. Use caution with it.

In all, Turbo Golf is a well-made new addition to TurboNuke's lineup, and will asurably intrest any golf game enthusiast.

This game is great, the graphics are cool and it's fun to play. However, I feel that the opponents are way too good for a game that is essentially 20-40% luck.
