A good entry, to say the least.
I must admit, this one really suprised me. From first impressions, I didn't expect much, but ater playing, I must say that RED X BLUE is impressive, if a bit bland.
The objective is to guide the two main characters, each of different color, to the end zone safely. Sounds easy, right? well, this is easier said than done, as the two must NOT touch be on the ground at the same time, or they both die, making some of the most decievingly simplistic levels that much harder to complete. And if that's not enough to your liking, there's also a large series of obstacles spread across 27 levels between you and the exit, and with the "don't touch or die" mechanics taking center stage, timing and skill is necessary to complete each level (and if you happen to be color-blind, I recommend against playing this ever. You WILL tear your hair out in frustration). Also, the music compliments the game nicely, but I felt that the background and level detail was a bit dull. The only difference between one section of block area and another is one's a different color and has a bubble background. Not a real creativity jump.
In all, RED X BLUE is a nice, intrigueing puzzle-platformer housed in a slightly generic shell. Hope to see more work from you, e4a.
