Reviews for "Milford the Ghosts"

it got me mad but its still fun

Well this game was... interesting to say the least. I enjoyed because im a big shooter fan, and the weirdness is almost infectious. But its a little on the hard side.

the most awesome shooter i've seen so far unlimited firepower the more you kill the more you shoot and i love the randomizations it keeps the fresh everytime the challanges of the bosses are a bitch but isn't that the point of a game is to frustrate the piss out of a player because they just can't get passed a certain spot? make more of these i'm your number 1 fan. make sequels or others like this!

This is an awesome game to kill some time with, only a few downsides:

The power ups don't actually seem to do anything other than award more points, since enemy health seems to scale with rate of fire (the first kill takes maybe 3 shots, but the same enemies require *much* more as you level). if you want to fight bosses like i did, the easiest way to reach them seems to be pure avoidance after you get a comfortable rate of fire, only killing enemies you need to, like carrots, cats and sleeping...brick...things.

the boss fights were interesting, though i only made it to the third boss since the duration of each level seems to be randomized just as much as the levels themselves.

there seem to be random environmental effects that occur occasionally, such as "the sky begins to weep" and it starts raining. in the hour and a half that i played this game, i only encountered two such effects and i assume that they are random. in my opinion, these effects should not be so rare as they added some interest to the game (if they are indeed random rather than my failing to know what caused them).

4 stars for a great, entertaining game, but it doesn't have much longevity.

Colorvade responds:

Enemies do increase in health as you get more powerful, but not to the point where they take just as long to kill no matter what, it's definitely more beneficial to have a higher firing rate. I also made it so the first enemies are weak when you have the beginning firing rate, so players aren't stuck unable to beat things at first. Also, each enemy has their own amount of health, so there's no definitive number for each.

As for the duration between boss fights, it's always exactly 90 seconds.

well this is awkward i cant play because i have broken arrow keys buy nonetheless its a good game but no wasd controls is a big problem for me
