To the people saying that it doesn't make sense.
Ask yourselves this very simple question. Does it have to?
Even the original concept of Mario the plumber who goes saving Yoshis and Mushroom People and a Princess while fighting random brown things and bipedal turtles that sometimes fly doesn't make any sense. Not to mention the fact that the clouds and the mountains and many other things have faces on them. The main villain is a giant dinosaur/turtle/dragon thing that pilots a flying machine with clown make up. Does that make sense?
Does any of that make sense other than the part of a human trying to save another human? Now answer this question for me, please. Did you have fun playing Mario? Don't lie, you did. If you didn't, then you are either 11 years old and need to fix up your snarky attitude and go play the damn game again (I don't mean Mario Party/Kart/Golf/etc.) or you are severely challenged in the mental department. If you are being honest with your sad self, you'll be answering the previous question with "Yes, I did have fun" possibly followed by a curse word or two because really, that's all you can do anyway. Things don't need to make sense for it to be fun or funny. At the very least, it's interesting.
This submission is a perfect example of a thing not making any sense but being at the very least interesting. I found it hilarious. So did a lot of other people. These people are people who know that it was fun and didn't torture themselves trying to find "the sense" behind it. It'll make your life more easier and you'll be more liked by the people around you if you stop trying to be so damn serious all the time. A lot of things in life don't make sense. Maybe the guy that works less than you gets a promotion. Maybe the bus is late even though there is no traffic at all. Maybe your girlfriend suddenly decides to want to bone when you have a urinal tract infection. It's everywhere so learn to live with it early on. Especially when you or the people around you just want to have fun.
