HEY ZANZLANZ ADD 1.2.555555555555555555555555555555555 555555555555

Zanzlanz responds:

SOOOOO UNRELATEDDDDD!

this is so hard

Zanzlanz responds:

That's a compliment to me, but the stars don't agree :\

This game is what I (like many others) consider to be a serious contender in relation to being a brain teaser. In fact, this game seriously reminds me of the ancient and sometimes legendary, "Chips Challenge". I say, do not change a thing to this game except for those items and issues that have been mentioned by my fellow peers and reviewers. This game gave me what I wanted today, a chance to relax but test my mental skills as well. A thorough job well done!

Zanzlanz responds:

Thank you very much Champion13 :)

I just looked up "Chips Challenge" and it does look similar. (Someone else mentioned "Shove It").
I wont change anything dramatically of this game. Yesterday I fixed a couple bugs and a typo. Probably in the future I'll fix the magnet glitch.

Well, I'm glad I was able to *brighten* your day! *Wink*

Wow. This is tough. Can't even get past level 2. Any hope for me getting through later levels, then?

Zanzlanz responds:

Yes with lots of effort :)

Fun little game, and quite challenging. Clever mechanics and level design. The addition of magnets really kind of threw my my mind through a loop trying to plan how to go about solving some of the later puzzles.

One thing I think is underused was the wires. I recall only three puzzles (maybe) four that make use of them at all with one of them (level 22) being quite challenging. I would have liked to use wires in conjunction with metal blocks and magnets. Plus bringing all the different puzzle elements together in later levels would bring more of a sense of escalation. That the puzzles are getting more complicated in addition to just becoming trickier.

One area that really could use some work is the 'physics' of the player character. Fairly often I found him walking half through blocks or somehow pushing a block despite not having actually touched one. This kind of thing just added unnecessary frustration. If you do try to fix this either in this game or for a new one note that in this game the 'collision box' appears to be slightly down and left of the main character letting him clip walls and blocks on the right and top sides.

All in all I thought the puzzles were very well done and very challenging, but definitely possible. It's a good concept and it leaves me wanting more. Thanks for the entertaining experience.

Zanzlanz responds:

Thanks for the well thought-out review :)

You're right about the wire. I found it not being a really challenging mechanic, although I did want to add it to the game, so I usually left it out because of lack of ideas. (I thought of some ideas but in the end they didn't work.)

The physics are correct; you can never phase through walls. It's just the fact that the sides of you aren't checked for hitting a wall makes it look like you're walking through one. If you're going up, you'll only stop if there is something directly above you. It's a little ugly, I agree. It may also make it look like there is false pushing happening too, but going diagonally can hit blocks in either direction. I will fix this in a minute or two and upload a new version because it's frequently complained about :)

You're welcome! Maybe in the future I could make a new version with more gameplay and more wire :D
