Reviews for "TOME: Nylocke's Day Off"

Very funny, as expected from Kirbopher and Nylocke. I like the drawings for the dramatic bits especially.

Who was the voice of Serpentine? He sounded familier......

Nice. I like Nailock's view of things, it's all medieval and stuff...
Also is Serpentine and Simdragon the same?
Carry on on with the awesome, BATTLE ON!

Time to dust off the old newgrounds account*

Very fun short! I was beginning to wonder with other people talking about old characters appearing in TOME( *cough*Zetto*cough*), if Nylocke's old reptillian rival from TvTome would appear in TOME again. You did not disappoint! I expected Serpentine to be serious character to clash with Nylocke. This was much better than I expected though. Serpentine mock's Nylocke's heroism, but he entertains his roleplaying as well. He's the perfect foil. He seems like a really fun character I was laughing in my seat watching them go into ham to ham combat.

The only complaint I have is I would have liked more of them fighting. not a really long fight, but I'd like to get an idea about what Serpentine's attacks are like, and be more captivated by their rivalry. So longer than it was here. You left the fight mostly to your sketches ( I'm guessing symbolizes they're RPing). That's why I'm voiting 4 1/2 stars.

But aside from that I cannot wait. For: NNNYYYLOCKE MASTER OF THE POPULAR VOTE, to earn himself his sequel, that will continue his misadventures with Demonking and Serpentine! Until next time my dragon friend! WOOOOSH!!

It was a nice short. An excellent bit of animation to bridge one episode to the next. As usual, voice work is fantastic, and I do like the addition of Serpentine. It is good to see Nylocke, Poetic Dragon of Epic Non Sequiturs, finally have someone who can match his over the top character. It would be promising to see Serpentine make another appearance in a future installment, however it is not necessary.

I understand it does take quite a while to fully animate anything, but the hand drawn sequences seem a bit overplayed, and as DragonFlamesMedia, as well as others have mentioned, it does take away from the significance of the still frame.

epic. but i dont like how they changed simdragons name...
