Reviews for "The End"

I really like the concept but I couldn't figure out how to find the old man. I found his grave, but I couldn't get him. It helped once I knew that the dark paths were roads instead of water. :P - I like the style of the game. Wish I could finish it! I

Sorry, I can't play this at all...with games like this, you need to make it more attractive...mainly the colour, less mysterious and the sword should have knock back and easier to decipher hit animations. I don't know when I'm hitting or when I'm getting hit. Combos and jumps are a plus.

Nice game, but a bit buggy. Slows down periodically =/

It's not that difficult actually, the girl at the beginning you need to follow and fill her shrine up then go back to where you were, keep this in mind, the blackness is a road, and if you follow it, it usually will lead you to where you need to go.

Aimless wandering isn't "adventure" or "atmosphere," it's "aimless wandering." It's boring. If you're going to make a game that's "atmospheric," put some effort into the atmosphere. An ambient hum and a blue guitar note isn't atmospheric, it's repetitive and dull. A bunch of jellies isn't atmospheric, it's a bunch of jellies. The art isn't bad. It's nothing particularly special, but nothing offensively bad, either. Better than the rest of the pixel art on the front page, at least. The big jellies look sort of neat, even if they're kind of boring.

I realize this was done in 48 hours but... It feels like you could have put the 48 hours to better use? It's just sort of bland and uninteresting overall. It could have used more effort. I mean, even for a 48 hour game, it falls kind of flat. It's not terrible for one, at all, just not good for one, either. And as a game in its own regard, it's not good.

I'm someone who's all about atmosphere, so I'm always kind of disappointed in games that bill themselves as "atmospheric" and end up just being boring! I've got no interest in this world or these characters. There's no desire or incentive to explore, and it ends up just making me want to close the tab.
