Reviews for "Werebox the movie"

This movie is something more then mets the eye.
All and any gameDev out there knows what i am talking about.
The loophole of endless extensions.

You see, when you are making game, and you are still in the concept stage of developing you do alot of brainstorming about what you want the game to be. What features it should have.
This is the nightmare of any amature gameDev, and the ultimate killer of many games which because of this - never came to existance.

You write the basic, core design. Then you think it would be cool to hame "zombies". Zombies are cool these days. Then you think, RPG elements, skils, expirience. Then you think mass effect - lets add epic storyline with alot of cinematics. Then destruction, then creation, then micromanagment, then strategy elements, then lasers and Justin Biber. And then you try to actualy get to the work and program all this crap and you are being overwhealmed by your creation and the amount of work you would have to do in order to program all this. And the project, which at the very begining was maybe decent, maybe even great, turns into some kind of mutated "All-in-one" game. And then you stop working.

To all young, starters or future GameDevs reading this:
Think simple. Simples games are the best.
(Reminding: Simple does NOT equal Easy).

One of the most popular game in human history is all about blocks and shapes falling from the sky.

Going back at the movie:
It doesnt suck. Its just addressed to a specific audience.
Dont blame it just because you dont get it. You dont have to.

Excellent animation and art style, great voiceovers and a hilarious jab at the current trends in the gaming industry (my favorite being the mocking of the war game genre haha). Excellent work - A
