Reviews for "Dead Pirate's Chest"

Overall, it's an enjoyable timewaster, but several points could be significantly improved upon:

-Once you get the hand of things and start upgrading your pieces, the game gets rather repetitive. As long as you upgrade evenly and account for the gradual increase in the number of pieces you'll be up against, it essentially gets to the point where you just watch your opponents' pieces and send out the opposite piece, with not a lot of additional strategy to add to the gameplay. The instant events you can throw in are generally unnecessary. Please note, however, that I have only completed 75% of the game as of this writing and cannot vouch for the difficulty of the final level.

-There are points where the AI could be a bit smarter. I would sometimes send out the girl to meet the heavyset piece, only to have the AI send yet another heavyset piece after it. If I didn't have enough "human resources" to match each character piece thrown at me, it would be a significant boon, but as it is, it just seemed like the AI was playing a little sloppily.

-As of this writing, the Sea Cat, Sea Dog, and Sea Wolf medals are registering as in-game achievements, but not with Newgrounds.

Thanks for entertaining me long enough to vouch for the medal glitch, though!

It was alright, not too good and not too bad.
It gets boring after the first five minutes when you figure out which unit is powerful over which unit.
After a few unit upgrades, all the units become similar and there's no difference at all.
Once you acquire all the upgrades for just one unit, the game can be finished in 2 minutes and there's no challenge left at all.

Now for the medals:
The 3 time medals, the skeleton boss and the federal boss medals, the Exorcist 1 and the Quartermaster medals do not work. The rest work fine.
Anyone hoping to get the 300 aboriginals and 300 federals medals should get it early because once you upgrade and become invincible, it becomes really hard and takes you a lot of time to get those because you end up destroying the enemy base in about 5 seconds. In that case, just use a weaker unit than the enemy unit and release it just when the enemy is an inch away from your base line so you get many enemies on the way.

This game is fun to play! The sound and graphics are well made, but it's kinda laggy and it sometimes even crashes although I set the memory for the flash player to unlimited. Some medals are also buggy even though I've completed the game :/ ( Sea Cat, Exorcist 1, Quartermaster, Sea Dog, The Black Beard Storm of Seas and Sea Wolf as far as it goes for me).

A survive mode and more upgrades would be interesting ;)

The game is fine but it was easy and the transition was repetitive. It wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't the only transition you use. However, with a bit more work it could be a much better game.

it an ok game only slightly grindy for the kill 300 medal in the first area cause there so few enemies.
I did sawn time first and just flood them with guys and you win easy upgrade cash.
