I found that it's best to organize the orders into three sections on the line. The left section is for orders still cooking, the middle is for orders that need sauce, and the right is for orders that need to be assembled. I had trouble with the sauce, until I discovered that you should click as soon as the middle button lights up, instead of focusing on the arrows. Also while the plate guide is awesome, it's best not to rely too much on it.

Speaking of the plate guide, getting plate guide 2 should eliminate plate guide 1 from the shop.
