Reviews for "Boss Slayer"

Enjoyable. Each upgrade feels like it makes a difference, which intern makes me feel like my efforts matter. Final boss fight was fun, just me and it gunning for each other not bothering to dodge the final few seconds of fire. All in all a great game.

Alright , i just ended it in 7 days.

Controls are fine (even if i felt damn too slow before the 3 first speed upgrades)

Some mechanics have to be reworked , for exemple the 3rd and 7th bosses have dead angles where you can just sit and wait they die
Also yellow crosses are pretty hard to see , every enemy bullet should have the same color, or make them brighter.
Sadly what is supposed to be a "dodging" game turn out like "stack lives for the 3 last bosses once everything's upgraded".

Hopefully i dont sound too rude. I mean , you got my 4 stars anyway :> Keep it up

I liked the shape/color coding for different projectiles. I hate those where every bullet are the same color, which require crazy concentration to dodge.

The 12 day limit idea was interesting, but a little irritating having to re-fight all of the bosses over again each time.

The upgrades were a little imbalanced, with the more useless upgrades costing more somehow...

I beat it in 4 days, could've done it in 2-3 days, if I had the patience. I just got so fed up of how long my lvl 2 fire rate and spread was taking to kill the bosses that I rammed into them just to suicide so I could spend my money.

Its quite easy once you've figured out the attack pattern for each boss.

Tips on Upgrades for those of you who haven't finished the game:
-"Magnet" is totally not worth putting any points into at all. Taking Speed helps you collect money equally as well, not to mention dodging and keeping up with bosses' movement,
-Health should be upgraded last after everything else has been upgraded (except "Magnet"). Upgrading health increases your starting HP, but doesn't increase the max HP. Its better to upgrade Speed to dodge stuff and accumulate HP from defeating bosses than upgrading it.
-Not sure how useful the money upgrade is. I don't think my cash increased much at the same point after upgrading it. From my experience, upgrading Rate of Fire and Spread for more DPS, and Speed for survival to get you further should rake in more cash than upgrading money.
-Initially Spread increases more DPS compared to Rate of Fire. However against moving bosses, the max no. of spread bullets becomes limited to ~3-4. My advice is to upgrade Spread till Lvl 2-3, alongside Speed, then the rest into Rate of Fire.

This game was a bit difficultand there wasnt enough skills but i still loved it

Addictive, fun, but a little short. I think the game would have been better if there were more bosses and upgrades. Having speed able to upgrade to a point where the ship doesn't lag behind the mouse at all, and a boss where that kind of speed is necessary, would have been excellent. But as it is, it's an excellent 15 minutes of fun.

Oh, also, WHERE IS THAT MENU SCREEN SONG FROM?! I'll be honest, this is the only reason why I was bothered to write a review, but that song is so familiar! What else has it been used in? Please, if anyone knows where else that menus screen song is from, let me know.
