I think this game would definitely be better if shooting wasn't automatic.

Well, I definitely like the old-school aethestic and sound effects; it made me think I was playing a cross between Tempest and Crystal Castle. However, the whole thing is pretty unintuitive. Several times I died before I figured out there's a bug where your own shots will hurt you. Also, the game tells me to 'grind', but when I grind too much I explode...so, ultimately I feel like the game lied to me.

it's normal that your own bullets can hurt you, that's not a bug.. try shooting at yourself in real life :P
The grinding is useless and it's stupid that you can't go in a straight line without shooting yourself in the back. I'd much rather just play Pacman.
it was an alright game but it got boring really fast
This game is confusing. Even after reading your description (there is no clear explanation of the rules in-game) I still don't understand what I'm supposed to do. How do I "squish" an enemy? They seem to hurt me instead.

...you need to grind the walls to charge .. you can squish enemies by touching them when your character is glowing red, and charging fast through the maze...:)
